Aaron and Amanda have waited years for their wedding day, but they always knew it would come. These high school sweethearts are such a wonderful couple, and have the best support from their family and friends. Aaron’s mom said it beautifully after the ceremony when she told her husband, “we gained a daughter and we couldn’t have picked a better one ourselves.” These two families felt like one from the moment I met them at rehearsal the night before the wedding. I was in awe of the help and selfless giving by so many of the family members. Not only do these two have their amazing family for support throughout their marriage, but they have also chosen some outstanding friends who keep them laughing and having fun. It’s the best part of my job to see a true team like Aaron and Amanda become husband and wife.
The day started for the ladies at The Cutting Edge in Racine while the guys caught a little Sports Center and relaxation before the ceremony.
The garter with the three flowers belonged to Amanda’s grandmother. Her mother and grandmother wore the garter on their wedding days and now Amanda had this old and blue piece of love legacy to wear on her day.
Aaron cleans up well too. This group of guys were hilarious and kept a carefree feeling in the air through out the day!
Amanda is an only child and had a very special daddy/daughter reveal. Her parents’ love and admiration for her was palpable all day, and very apparent even in these images.
Next we headed to reveal Amanda to the other important man in her life. Aaron was so excited to see his gorgeous bride and the first look was enchanting. We were lucky to get these shots as we were gifted a thunderstorm after the ceremony.
Here is the wonderful bridal party including Amanda’s perfect assistant Kinsey. This group was amazing! The temperature was about 90 degrees during these high noon portraits and not one person complained, in fact everyone was laughing and up for anything.
After formals we were off to the church. Here Amanda’s grandma added another personal touch, a broach worn by generations to Amanda’s dress. These touches made for a very special day.
The variety in centerpieces, personal table numbers, choice of cake flavors, and Grandma’s homemade sugar cookie gifts created a stunning environment for the fun and memorable reception. The dance floor was busy the entire evening and the smiles on the guests’ faces were priceless.
